The thyroid ultrasound application creates thyroid anatomy reports including general anatomy, nodules and calculates TI-RADS scores.
Thyroid
- The thyroid measurements are imported from the US machine. Fill out the general combo boxes as required.
- Click the +Add button to add nodules. If the US machine sent their sizes, the dimensions will be listed. Click on each row to enter location, description and calculate the TI Rads scores.
- Any additional findings can be entered using the phrase generator. Make sure to click Accept or the phrase will not end up in the report. Use the Additional Comments text template tool to build and use templates for this section.
- Choose an image using the drawing tool and sketch the nodules if desired.
- Finish with the conclusion. The Highest TI-RADS level from the table will be displayed. Choose a general description and recommendation to complete the report.
Nodules table
There can be more than one nodule, so a table is required. Clicking the +Add button opens the Thyroid nodule input form.
- Nodules are numbered increasing sequential.
- Pick a location
- The nodule's size should import from the US machine.
- Enter the data required for the TI-Rads score and it will calculate. A description ends up in the box on the right.
- Once the text is generated, you can free text if desired, but it will not modify the TI RADS score. The TI-RADS combo box can be updated and that value is used to calculate the overall score.
- Click Save. Don't click Save & Add New unless you are manually entering nodule measurements of another nodule.
Note: if the US machine sent more than one nodule, there should be multiple rows. Click Save, then click on another row to put in the information on the next nodule.
If the measurements did not come across from the US machine (uncommon) then enter the measurements and the other information in, then click Save & Add New for each additional nodule, but on the last nodule, just click Save.
Report
The Technologist Notes and the Radiologist Report are template text tools. User-defined templates can be built and text inserted into either of these text areas.
The Technologist Note does NOT appear in the final report.
