Phrase generators allow a user to choose more than one entry in a combo box or build more than one sentence for a specific comment. They are only used where multiple entries are possible.
They come in 2 types - simple and multi-field.
- A simple phrase generator is a combination of a combo box and text area. It allows for the user to choose more than one value for the combo box.
- A multi-field phrase generator has multiple fields to choose and then an Add button to create the phrases put into the associated text area.
For both types, the text area remains editable at all times.
Simple Phrase Generator
- Make a choice from the combo box.
- The phrase/sentence associated with the choice will be inserted into the associated text area
Multi-field Phrase Generator
- Choose values from each of the fields in the phrase generator
- Click the Add button
- The constructed sentence is inserted into the text area. Use multiple times if needed.
- The Clear button will clear both the fields and the text area.
Note: If you don't click the Add button, the information will NOT end up in the report.
