How do I use the Wall Motion Tool?

Updated on

The wall motion tool allows the user to create a graphic that will be in the final report and also a text description. In Echo it works for resting and stress wall motion as well as stress diagnosis.

Text version

  1. The buttons along the top (Hyperdynamic, Normal, Hypokinetic and All Else Normal) change the diagram globally.
  2. To indicate regional differences, first select something from the legend. In this case, Hypokinetic.
  3. Then click into the bullseye or the other parts of the diagram. As you do that, they will color. Text will generate into the report on the right.
  4. Stress wall motion works the same way
  5. Stress diagnosis compares the resting and stress diagrams. Click the Auto-Calc Diagnosis button to compare resting and stress.
  • Click and drag can be used to highlight many sections at once vs clicking individually.
  • Order of action does not matter - the text  reflects the information chosen in the diagram. You can click Normal and still add hypokinetic areas and the report will be correct.
  • .You can edit the text but if you change the diagram, the text will update.
