Search Fields

Updated on

A search field is like a combo box, but it differs in 2 important ways:

  1. A user can add, remove or change the field
  2. The field is composed of multiple fields. So one choice in the example below give me ID, Hospital Name and Phone number all in one.

Click on the Search Field

Once the user has clicked on the search field, a table appears below the field. It may be blank or contain previously defined choices.

  1. To add a new row/choice, click +Add.
  2. This form will then pop up. Enter data, then
  3. Click either Save to add just one or Save & Add New to add multiple.
  4. This example shows 3 different options. Once the rows are added, the user can just choose a selection.
