Overview of Logo Requirements for Reports
Organizations can have their logo displayed on reports by providing a suitable logo file to the EncaptureMD team. The quality and format of the logo file directly affect how the logo appears in the final report.
- Providing a high-quality logo ensures clear and professional report branding.
- Different file formats have varying impacts on image quality.
Key Terms
Vector file: A type of image file that uses mathematical formulas to create graphics. Vector files can be resized without losing quality. Common vector formats include .eps and .pdf.
Raster file: An image made up of pixels. Raster files can lose quality if resized beyond their original dimensions. Common raster formats include .png and .jpg.
Resolution: The amount of detail an image holds, often measured in pixels. Higher resolution means better image clarity.
- Vector files are preferred for logos due to scalability.
- Raster files should be at least 500px by 500px for best results.
Accepted Logo File Formats
The following file formats are accepted, listed in order of preference:
- .eps (vector)
- .pdf (vector)
- .png (raster) – smallest dimension should be at least 500px
- .jpg (raster) – smallest dimension should be at least 500px
- Vector formats (.eps, .pdf) are ideal for logos.
- High-resolution raster formats (.png, .jpg) are acceptable if vector files are unavailable.
Considerations for Non-Standard Formats or Resolutions
If your logo is not available in the preferred formats or resolutions, you should inform the EncaptureMD team about what you have. However, using unsupported formats or low-resolution images may result in poor logo quality in the final report.
- Non-standard formats may compromise the appearance of your logo.
- Communicate with the team if you have concerns about your logo file.
