Timestamps within EncaptureMD display based on the time zone settings for the customers account
- Locations follow the time zone of the account.
- Labs configured within a given location may be set to an alternate time zone.
Effective 08/16/2025 EncaptureMD version 8.2.
Worklist and Patient Studies
A user logged into a workstation set to a time zone which differs from the time zone of the account will see a message to the top right within the banner noting the account time zone.
- Note in the screenshot below the account is on (1) Pacific time (07:26) while the user's workstation is set to (2) Eastern (10:26 AM).
Studies on the worklist display the timestamp for the account regardless of the time stamp for the Lab Location where each study was performed or the workstation setting.
- Notice in the screenshot below both studies have the same performed time of 08/16/2025 at 18:30.
Timestamps within a study reflect the time zone of the Lab Location where the study was created which may differ from the account.
- The sample study below was performed in an account set to Pacific time and a Lab Location also set to Pacific time. The timestamp in the study matches the screenshot of the worklist shown above.
- The second study was performed in an account set to Pacific time but a Lab Location set to Eastern time.
- Note the difference between the timestamp on the worklist and the timestamp within the study.
- The top banner no longer displays the time zone message to the right since the user workstation time zone and the study Lab Location time zone match.
Component Timestamps
In addition to the worklist, timestamps for changes to site level components such as Users, Patients, Referring MDs, HCPCS/CPT codes, ICD Codes, Inventory models etc. follow the time zone of the account.
- Below is a sample from a billing code record where the user workstation was changed to various time zones when adding notes to the record.
- The timestamps consistently reflect Pacific time - the setting on the account.
